Hair Transplantation

We have been performing hair transplantation for over 20 years.  We are committed to providing you with the latest hair transplantation techniques in a private, individualized and confidential setting. Your hair transplant procedure can be carried out under straight local anesthesia or with mild sedation.  We utilize a micro-grafting technique to provide a natural looking appearance.  We do not do large plugs that are visible and frequently performed previously by many. If you are traveling from a distance we can assist you with hotel reservations.

Hair transplantation can be carried out in men or women.  Not everyone is a candidate for hair transplantation and we may select non-surgical alternatives for your hair loss.

About the Procedure:

The surgical procedure is an outpatient procedure. There are no IV’s.  You do not have to shave your head.  While your procedure is being done you sit in a chair and may watch movies, TV, listen to music, or sleep.  For larger procedures, you may have to spend most of the day and you will be able to eat lunch.    You will be able to get up when necessary, have only a headband on after the procedure.  Your surgical experience should be a pleasant and not uncomfortable experience.  All of this will be explained to you during your consultation.  If you have only local anesthesia you may drive yourself home the day of the procedure.  If you have sedation you will need someone to drive for you home after the procedure.

What to Expect Postoperatively:

Your postoperative dressing will only consist of a headband.  This will stay on the first night only.  You may wear a baseball cap. You will be able to shower the first day after surgery.  Keeping the scalp clean postoperatively will get you back to normal as quickly as possible.  If you have some hair on the top of the scalp, the early grafts may not be noticeable.  The donor site in the back is not visible since it is covered by your own hair.  Most of the discomfort you will have is in the back of the scalp and should subside in a few days.  Depending on your job you may be able to return to work the next day or in 7-10 days.  Full activity can resume at 2 weeks postoperatively when the sutures on the back of the scalp are removed.
